Proof of Age
QWhat documents are accepted as proof of age?
Each coach or team manager must collect photo ID for every participating player. Accepted documents include:
✓Passport
✓Driver's licence or Learner's Permit
✓Football Australia ID
✓Birth certificate plus one of: student card with photo, recent school photo with name, or current library card with photo
QHow does the ID check process work?
Team Managers may request ID checks on individual opposition players (not entire teams) via event staff — not directly with the opposing team. Please notify staff before kick-off where possible.
Procedure
Approach the nearest event staff member and request a formal ID Check on a specific player.
Show the payment receipt to event staff, who will conduct the check with the team in question.
If the player provides all required documentation and is confirmed to be of correct age, the $50 is not refunded.
If the player cannot provide documentation or is found to be overage, the $50 is refunded and the player will not be permitted to play.
Digital or printed colour copies of documents are accepted, provided they are clear and legible.
!Teams providing incorrect documentation or deliberately playing overage players will receive a 0–3 loss for affected games. Ineligible players will be disqualified, and offending teams may be expelled from the tournament and future affiliated events.
